Technicians for North America is a free online training program sponsored by Caterpillar that meets the growing need for skilled service technicians. The curriculum consists of 18 virtual courses that can help you improve your chances of landing a technician job. The program has been launched across the globe with Technicians for Africa, Technicians for Arabia and Technicians for the Caribbean.
ThinkBIG is a 2-year program teaching students how to service Cat equipment using cutting-edge diagnostic and maintenance systems, advanced technologies and high-tech tools. It combines classroom work with hands-on learning in the field and in state-of-the-art labs, so students see technologies in real-world applications—solving problems and helping Caterpillar customers get their jobs done. Graduates of ThinkBIG receive an associate’s degree in applied science.

ThinkBIGGER is offered to ThinkBIG participants to extend their education and training. Like the 2-year program, ThinkBIGGER gives a complete, hands-on training for a real-world job as a Cat dealer technician. However, this 4-year program also equips students with engineering technology, theory, logic and business skills to broaden their knowledge and make them more versatile employees. Graduates of ThinkBIGGER receive a bachelor of science degree in science and technology.
